In the center of Soverzene stands the Monument to the Fallen for the Ideal by Franco Fiabane, sculpted in 1973 from a single block of Istrian stone. Rich in pathos and symbolic rigor, the monolith tells the story of human sacrifice for a universal ideal through ascending figures, captive faces, and silent presences like the Alpino.
