Museo Sandro Pertini e Renata Cuneo

The Sandro Pertini and Renata Cuneo Museum is located in the Priamar Fortress, on the second floor of the Palazzo della Loggia, and houses two collections donated to the city of Savona. The first is that of Sandro Pertini, President of the Republic originally from Stella (Savona), who collected works by artists of his time — including De Pisis, Guttuso, Manzù, Mirò, Morandi, Pomodoro, Sassu, Sironi and Vedova — partly linked to the theme of the partisan Resistance. The second is that of the Savona sculptor Renata Cuneo, who donated numerous works of hers (ceramics, bronzes, terracottas, drawings) to the Municipality, and to whom several city monuments are also owed, such as the fisherman beneath the Leon Pancaldo Tower and the man wrestling with the fish in Piazza Marconi.
