Sacile - Il Giardino della Serenissima

Sacile is a town located on the banks of the Livenza River, in the province of Pordenone, and is the westernmost municipality in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. With approximately 20,000 inhabitants, it is a peaceful and human-scale town, ideal for strolling along bridges, historic streets, and enjoying views of the river. The historic center extends across two islands formed by the Livenza, a river that has profoundly influenced the city's history and urban layout. Sacile is known as the "Garden of the Serenissima," a nickname linked to the presence of numerous Venetian-style palaces built when the city was under the rule of the Republic of Venice.
