Sculpture Park
A landscape inhabited by sculptures. Among centuries-old olive trees and a Mediterranean breeze, Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu have built a circular trail populated with granite animals, megaliths, fantastical creatures, and symbols from distant civilizations. The pieces emerge among the trees as if they had always inhabited the park, creating a continuous dialogue between past and present, between humor and reflection.
The Sa Bassa Blanca Museum was founded in 1993 in Alcúdia, Mallorca, by artists and collectors Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu. Its home is a unique estate: a Hispanic-Moorish style house designed by Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, completed in 1980 and set in a natural landscape between the mountains and the sea. What began as a home and a studio grew slowly, driven by the curiosity and passion of its founders, until it became what it is today: a place where art, architecture and nature share the same space on equal terms. The collection brings together more than 150 European portraits of children from the 16th to the 19th century, a granite sculpture park, objects ranging from prehistoric fossils to African masks, and contemporary works from the five continents.
