Piazza Rinascimento, 13, 61029 Urbino PU, ItaliaThe Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, created by Royal Decree in 1912 and granted special autonomy by Ministerial Decree 27 November 2014, collects, preserves and exhibits significant works of art from the Marche region. Its importance is mainly linked to the role that Urbino had as a cultural capital in the Renaissance and, in this capacity, it is also the custodian of the Palazzo Ducale of Urbino built by Federico Montefeltro starting from the mid-fifteenth century.
