Palazzo Te in Mantua is the most famous work of the Mannerist architect and artist Giulio Romano. It was built between 1525 and 1535 at the behest of Federico II Gonzaga. The Palazzo was a grand suburban villa intended for leisure and court receptions. Today, Palazzo Te is an artistic production center that organizes art, architecture, and photography exhibitions, as well as numerous cultural events.
