Introduction to the Farm
This section introduces the visitor to the Liznjek farm and the legacy passed down from ancestors to descendants
Welcome!
The splendid view of the imposing Alpine farm built in the 17th century tells us that the house-museum you are visiting was built by wealthy farmers. From the stone-clad ground floor you access the wooden upper floor with a wooden balcony (gank) which in the warm months is adorned with carnation flowers, just as was the case in the past.
The kitchen, the attic and the furniture
This section focuses on some rooms of the farm and its furnishings
In the black kitchen, the fireplace is often lit and soon the house is filled with the inviting aromas of delicacies prepared by the caring hands of housewives, just as it has been done for decades. The most popular feature of the house is the painted rustic furniture specific to the region. In the attic you can see how clothes and bedding were made from linen and wool and in the barn in front of the house you can see an interesting collection of farm wagons, tools and instruments.
