Portale in bronzo - Chiesa Arcipretale di Lentiai
Information
Chiesa Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta - Lentiai Via Giovanni Mazzini, 1, 32020 Lentiai BLBronze portal - Archpriest Church of Lentiai
In 1992 Franco Fiabane created for the archpriestal church of Santa Maria Assunta in Lentiai a bronze portal in three registers: at the bottom the Horsemen of the Apocalypse evoke the unease of life; in the center a ring of adolescents, whose hands become the handles of the portal, transforms private memory into a collective message of friendship and hope; at the top the resurrection of Lazarus and the sacrifice of Abraham and Isaac, illuminated by a divine light, draw the gaze toward the eternal. Between sculptural vigor and a narrative impulse, the work—commissioned in memory of the young Cesare Grigoletto—unites tradition and spirituality in a seal of Christian consolation.
