The exhibition "Theatricality - Architectures for Wonder" by Patrizia Mussa, curated by Antonio Calbi and promoted by the Municipality of Vicenza, displays over 80 large-format images with hand-coloring interventions, which provide an analytical journey of theatricality in architecture. Patrizia Mussa engages with the Olympic Theatre of Vicenza and the theaters of Sabbioneta and Parma, which mark the transition from court theaters to proper permanent buildings; then the great Italian theaters, such as La Scala in Milan, San Carlo in Naples, La Fenice in Venice, Regio in Turin, Argentina in Rome, La Pergola in Florence, Massimo in Palermo, and relates to spaces that testify to the "theatrical" vocation of some iconic architectures like the Palladian Basilica, the Royal Palace of Venaria, that of Stupinigi, the Royal Palace of Caserta, and Palazzo Grimani in Venice.
