Museo Fortuny: what to see
This is where ingenious creations such as the Delphos dress, the Fortuny Dome and the precious printed fabrics were born. You visit the Winter Garden on the first noble floor, with murals painted from 1915 onwards, the large central salon furnished as Fortuny's favourite studio, and the library on the second floor. The palazzo dates from the second half of the 15th century and is one of the largest private buildings of Venetian Gothic; Henriette donated it to the City of Venice in 1956 and the museum opened to the public in 1975.
