Monumento ai caduti - Borsoi
In Borsoi, a hamlet of the Municipality of Tambre, stands the War Memorial created by Franco Fiabane in 1976 for the local Alpini group. It is a three-meter-high stele made of gray stone, adorned with bronze plaques that depict three fundamental moments of collective life: war, work, and motherhood. The work, sober yet intense, does not celebrate with rhetorical emphasis but instead invites intimate and communal reflection. The raw stone material interacts with the expressive power of the bronze, creating a balance between memory, pain, and hope. More than just a monument, the stele presents itself as a true 'story in stone,' capable of expressing the deep bond between the area's history and the dignity of its people.
