Portale in bronzo - Chiesa Arcipretale di Lentiai

In 1992 Franco Fiabane created a three-tiered bronze portal for the archpriestal church of Santa Maria Assunta in Lentiai: at the bottom the Horsemen of the Apocalypse evoke life's anxieties; in the middle a ring of adolescents, whose hands become the portal's handles, transforms private memory into a collective message of friendship and hope; at the top the resurrection of Lazarus and the sacrifice of Abraham and Isaac, bathed in divine light, draw the gaze toward the eternal. Between sculptural strength and narrative intent, the work, commissioned in memory of the young Cesare Grigoletto, unites tradition and spirituality in a comforting Christian testament.
