Museo Etnografico Walser Valle Vogna
In 1987 - in the picturesque village of Rabernardo - the Walser Ethnographic Museum opened, housed in a typical wood and stone house, an intact witness of ancient customs and traditions of the ingenious and hardworking people who inhabited the valley for centuries. This population left their homeland - the Swiss Valais, from which they take their name - in the 12th century to seek new lands to clear beyond Monte Rosa. The landscape context in which it is located is unique in how humans have been able to integrate respectfully into the unspoiled nature that surrounds it.
