The exhibition is the largest exposition on Mexican art in Europe in recent decades, the first one dedicated to Diego Rivera held in Italy. A journey through the colors of Mexico in the magnificent setting of the Capitoline Museums – Villa Caffarelli. Rome is preparing to host the exhibition Diego Rivera and the Construction of Modern Art in Mexico in the 20th Century, an extraordinary retrospective dedicated to the most famous Mexican painter and muralist in the world, an unmissable appointment with Mexican art. In addition to Rivera's works, the exhibition features masterpieces by extraordinary artists such as Frida Kahlo, José María Velasco, José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, and María Izquierdo. And also masters of the caliber of Tamayo, Lozano, Montenegro, Ruiz, Dr Atl, Saturnino Herrán and many others. Enriching the dynamic and colorful display are videos and evocative photographs, including images of Diego Rivera immortalized by Tina Modotti.
