Madonna “Regina delle Dolomiti” - Marmolada

Set in the evocative natural surroundings of the Marmolada at an altitude of 3,270 meters, stands the Madonna Queen of the Dolomites statue by Franco Fiabane, created in 1979 and blessed by Pope John Paul II. Placed in a cave accessible via a World War I walkway, the two-meter-tall bronze sculpture combines sacredness and alpine identity, merging the figure of Mary with the majesty of the mountain.
