Cattedrale di Cremona - Percorso restauro

Here is a proposal: Climb the scaffolding of the restoration site and take a close look at the frescoes of Cremona Cathedral. The route begins with the Stories of the Life of the Virgin, started by Boccaccio Boccaccino in 1514, and continues to the Stories of the Passion of Christ, up to Pordenone's great Crucifixion on the inner façade. In four stops you will see how the painting of the cycle changes: from Boccaccino's balance and restraint to the dramatic force of the maniera, which with Pordenone seems to project the figures toward you.
